TLTC Conservation Foundation Home

The Leading Travel Companies Conservation Foundation is a not-for-profit organization which supports work that fosters sustainable tourism and protects culturally and ecologically sensitive areas around the world.

The TLTC Conservation Foundation is a joint initiative by leading travel companies including AAT Kings, Brendan Worldwide Vacations, Busabout, Contiki Holidays, Eastern Trekker, Evan Evans Tours, Grand European Tours, Haggis Adventures, Insight Vacations, Milestones, Shamrocker Adventures, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection and Trafalgar Tours.

Already, The Leading Travel Companies have helped Conservation International to protect three million hectares of Atlantic Forest in Brazil, an area of unmatched importance to protect the planets biological diversity, supported WWF to help establish the first sustainable tourism project wholly managed by the area’s indigenous communities and funded research and restoration in Venice to help protect the city from degradation. The foundation is also a primary sponsor for the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards which encourages tourism operators to develop and share leading sustainable tourism practices.

The Leading Travel Companies’ Jeff Element presents a cheque for $350,000 to Conservation International’s Vice President of Development Sergio Furman to protect the Atlantic Forest in Brazil from destruction.

TLTC Conservation Foundation President David Hosking is presented a copy of the Venice research report by Venice in Peril’s Nicky Baly following the Foundation’s $150,000 grant for Venice research and restoration work which will help preserve the city for future generations
